Why does Dakota air conditioning stop woking after 15 minutes?
Q. My 1998 Dakota air conditioning works great for 15 minutes and then stops. The clutch is not engaged. The pressure and fluid is okay. If I turn it off for 5 minutes it will work for another 15 minutes. Is there some pressure switch that is not working?

A. that may be caused by a bad relay for the air conditioner,when they heat up sometimes they will cause this too happen,if the system hasn't ever been opened up it wont be dirt in the system causing this too happen,check the relay for it,and the low pressure valve,that to will cause this too happen,good luck.
